Install the extension and use one shared backend on both Macs.

This page is the handoff point. The extension lives in the browser. This hosted service provides sign in, settings sync, dictionary sync, reference samples, draft history, and grammar analysis across your devices.

Use this backend URL

Paste this into the extension options page on each Mac. Every installed copy should use the same backend URL and the same email address.

Install on Chrome or Edge

Download the Chrome and Edge archive, extract it, then open chrome://extensions or edge://extensions.

  1. Turn on Developer mode.
  2. Choose Load unpacked.
  3. Select the extracted chromium folder.
  4. Open the extension options page and request a sign in code.

Install on Firefox

Download the Firefox archive, extract it, then open about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox.

  1. Choose Load Temporary Add-on.
  2. Select the extracted firefox/manifest.json file.
  3. Open the extension options page and use the same backend URL and email.
  4. For now Firefox runs as a developer loaded extension rather than a signed store package.
